The Metals Factory is a specialized supplier and exporter of stainless steel bars and rods. Stainless steel bars is the most common product for us, and we stock over 600 tons. The steel grade we stock includes 301, 302, 303, 304/L, 304H, 309/S, 310/S, 316/L/Ti, 317/L, 321/H, 347/H, 409/L, 410, 416, 420, 440C, 430, 431, 2205, 2507, 17-4PH, 17-7PH, 904L. At The Metals Factory, stainless steel bars are available in round, square and flat form in custom as well as standard sizes. While 304/304L stainless steel bars are suited for use in all types of general requirements, 316/316L bars are widely used for applications requiring high corrosion resistance in more challenging conditions.
Stainless steel round bar besides having the characteristics or corrosions resistance has been developed over time to encapsulate end user applications. For example, Improved Machining (IM) grades have been developed to enhance machining of the steel into components, grades for hardness by responding to heat treatment and grades with high corrosion qualities by adding additional elements to give it the characteristics desired. All material meets ASTM specifications with ultrasonic testing as required. Test certificates are maintained to ensure full material traceability. A complete menu of processing services that includes band sawing, grinding, heat treating and trepanning is available.
